Chassis

Also completely new to the DAF CF Euro 6: the chassis. Light and strong for the highest payload and superior handling. With new axles and the unique Stabilink suspension on the rear axle for an even more stable handling and less kerb weight.

A Y-shaped frame profile provides space for a larger radiator to optimise airflow for engine cooling and for a much larger intercooling system. This means that not only can the new Euro 6 emission requirements be met, but it also provides a significant contribution to reducing fuel consumption, good performance and a long engine service life.

High payloads

The chassis of the CF Euro 6 is a completely new development. It offers high payloads through low unladen weight. The high rigidity ensures excellent driving characteristics. Components are cleverly positioned with a view to the highest efficiency.

DAF CF Euro 6 Chassis Layout

With a view to achieving maximum efficiency, DAF focused on providing the best possible layout of the completely re-designed CF chassis.

Chassis layout

One of the starting points in developing the chassis was to create as much space as possible. The SCR catalytic converter and particulate filter are combined into one unit. The AdBlue tank is positioned practically under the cab. The result: all the space for pump installations or hydraulic tanks, or fuel tanks with volumes up to 1,500 litres.
